“The Partnership Carson City coalition will work to prevent the devastating effects of gangs, methamphetamine and other illegal drug and alcohol use by initiating and supporting grass-roots, community-wide efforts.”
Vision Statement:
The Partnership Carson City coalition of community and business leaders is dedicated to assisting law enforcement, civic organizations, schools, businesses, churches and local, state and federal governments in their efforts to reverse the negative effects of gangs, illegal drug and alcohol use on the people who live here.
In particular, the Partnership will promote efforts that enhance:
- public awareness and education of the inherent ills associated with methamphetamine and other illegal drug and alcohol use;
- prevention of first-time use;
- valuation, treatment and counseling of drug abusers;
- enforcement of laws prohibiting drug abuse and illegal consumption of alcohol by minors;
- effectiveness of public policy in solving the social issues created by drug abuse.
As a result, Partnership Carson City will foster a safe and healthy community where residents enjoy productive lives for themselves and their children.
